It was presented by COIN and the U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division. Lacey Houle from the U.S. Department of Labor presented on the Fair Labor Standards Act and provided the latest updates on workers’ rights and advocacy for immigrant employees.
A panel discussion and Q&A featured insights from Aaron Loomis, the District Director for the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division, Cynthia Hernandez, the Program Director for FLC & MSFW at the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, Karen Maher, the Director of Anti-Trafficking Initiatives and IPATH Taskforce Coordinator at the Indiana Coalition to End Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking, Inc., and Angela Adams Owner and Managing Attorney of Adams Immigration Law, LLC.
