Today, COIN honors another dynamic volunteer team: Swati and Oscar. Together, Swati and Oscar have volunteered more than twelve times through the COIN network alone. We thank them for their dedication to the Indianapolis and COIN community. We are grateful for you! Their story: Coming from a family of immigrants, both Oscar & I have been motivated to engage with our community well before our law school days & beyond. We consider these volunteer opportunities a privilege and what motivates us is the will and struggles of the families we help. We have experienced first-hand the amazing community that Indianapolis has to offer and to be able to assist them in any way possible is what keeps us coming back. Volunteering with COIN and other organizations has not only provided us with an opportunity to support families and persons in need of assistance but has also helped us connect and grow ourselves. Volunteering through COIN has not only put us in touch with incredible people in our community but also with the incredible staff who run it. The attorneys, interns, volunteers, etc. continue to be a web of support not only to individuals outside the organization, but individuals like us who have benefited from the immense experience and opportunities they provide. It's hard to point out any one reason for enjoying our volunteer work with COIN but what has stood out most is the opportunity to work and network with the members of this truly remarkable organisation.
